Rating by category:
Excellent location. Quiet location. Guests also quiet types - no rowdies or loud music.
Not enough beach chairs. Guests got up early it seems and spread their towels over chairs in order to "own" them for the day. I.E. they held onto the chairs even when they were not using them - very selfish behaviour - hotel should have posted rules to the contrary.
A substantial breakfast is included. Wait staff very nice and check-in check out was very efficient. Not bad if you're on a budget.
Hair dryers are not provided or available from the front desk. Ice is only available from the bar (bring your own bucket). The bath area of room 149 had a strong sewer smell.
It was close to the beach and el malecon
The buffet the food could of been better no different selections
Location and staff.
No chairs on the beach and not allowed to take the pool chairs there. Full bar yet no place to sit, simply walk up to a small bar top. Small double beds and they were extremly hard. The best location for all shopping and dinning, clean, safe, friendly staff. Bare bones amenities and comfort at a great price. Keep the shower drain covered or the sewer gas will enter the room, must not have a trap on the shower, odd. Great view of the sunsets and sound of the ocean from room and the private patio deck.
La atencion con las personas, el restaurante, el ambiente 100% familiar, todo esta muy bien y centrico tanto en la playa como en el malecon y el centro para ir de compras y pasear ademas los restaurantes todo esta muy cerca.
I have no comentes about it.
I recommend Hotel El Pescador for the location on a sandy beach, the refreshing pool and the bar, the staff, the view, and the proximity to the Malecon and the nightlife.
There are no refridgerators and you are not allowed to bring your own alcoholic drinks to the pool area. The beds are a bit hard.
Stff were great
The hard beds
A well managed ,clean, hotel.Attentive friendly professional staff at all levels. Spacious feel to the hotel and grounds. Good security. Location is excellent directly on beach, and about 4 blocks from north end of Malecon,in the old town zone. Excellent value
The view was beautiful. The hot water was great. The staff at the restaurant was very helpful and friendly.
The drapes didn't work so I had to hook them up with a safety pin. The lady at the front desk the day we checked in was kind of rude 1/16. Someone had a huge screamimg fight in the halls of the hotel on 1/17 and no one told them to quiet down.
It was as stated on the web site with two beds and ocean view
The staff seemed to not know of our reservation when we arrived although it was made 3 days before. The hotel was old and seemed run down. The beds were very hard, you could feel the springs. When we left and returned from dinner there was a putrid sewage or mold like odor that permitted the room and did not leave even after leaving the dor open for 2 hours. Although it was inexpensive I would not return. There are cleaner hostels with private rooms in puerto Vallarta for less money that I would stay in if on a budget. Otherwise I would splurge for a nicer place.
It was nice. I only wish it had ice machines and they'd turned up the heat to the pool. Other than that, it's aces!
Pool too cold and extremely limited parking.
I was very happy with the 1000 peso credit for food. Staff was accommodating. Location was excellent.
Hard beds. No hair dryer. Threadbare linens and beat up furniture.
great staff, friendly service, great location,
The resyurant was expensive for what you were offered! I signed up for a single room and believe was offered a double price?
